Metadata Cataloguer/Taxonomy Specialist
Are you a Metadata Cataloguer/Taxonomy Specialist with a minimum of four years' professional and progressive experience managing taxonomies, cataloguing or indexing metadata cataloguing, and using user research to improve information retrieval, access and searchand are you looking for a new role?

Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for a Matadata Cataloguer/Taxonomy Specialist to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.
Your responsibilities will be:
You will be responsible upgrading the Clients information and reporting database/Portal, which contains quantitative and qualitative information relevant to the departments operations.
To deliver the required results, it's essential that you have:
- Masters of Science in Information Management, Masters of Library and/or Information Studies, Masters of Information Studies and/or Masters in Knowledge Management
- A minimum of four years' professional and progressive experience managing taxonomies, cataloguing or indexing metadata cataloguing, and using user research to improve information retrieval, access and
search; - Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in Taxonomy/vocabulary and metadata management (ie ANSI/NISO Z; ISO 25964 Part 1: Thesauri for Information Retrieval);
- Experience using user experience (UX) and taxonomy validation tools such as Optimal Suite and card sorting techniques to conduct user research on information retrieval, search and indexing practices
- An excellent knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset
