Tableau Engineer - Big Data / Dashboards - vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- 3+ years of professional experience in data visualisation using Tableau, ideally within banking or the finance industry
- Awareness of best practices in data visualisation and business intelligence
- Capability of gathering and interpreting requirements as well as of developing, implementing and maintaining reporting solutions
- Sound understanding of relational databases, data warehouses and data modelling with practice in writing SQL and designing ETL frameworks
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies and data lake solutions is advantageous
- Experience working in Agile teams along with good stakeholder management skills
- Academic degree in information management, computer science or a related field
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Collaborating closely with business users in defining and delivering effective reports and dashboards using data visualisation best practices
- Contributing to all phases of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance
- Optimising technical designs through data modelling and ETL development
- Coordinating with other workstreams on related data items and dependencies
- Defining test cases and supporting business users through the UAT processes
- Developing and updating technical documentation
