We have an exciting opportunity for a senior expert with proven track record of Real world Evidence data and epidemiology to support the creation of a new department and ongoing projects.As RWE Strategy Lead, you will provide strategic thinking subject matter expertise in RWE generation for currently undergoing late-stage development across several patient populations with high unmet need working transversally within the company.
Specifically, your remit will involve multiple disease areas (including chronic and rare diseases) and range from evidence generation to ensure successful Phase 3, launch and lifecycle management of portfolio, to supporting earlier stage development. As such, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to shape overall approach across an exciting and growing pipeline; to increase understanding of new patient subpopulations by applying established and novel RWE generation methods, and ultimately, to impact the probability that our innovative medicines reach the right patients.
Your responsibilities:
contribute to wider epidemiological and medical understanding of diseases, treatments and patient outcomes;
drive strategic internal decision-making and shaping the RWE department that empowers the development of differentiated R&D activities, successful product launches, and impactful post-marketing activities;
support external decision making by key stakeholder groups such as policy makers, payers, and prescribers
guide clinical development decisions with regards to the selection of appropriate clinical/patient-relevant endpoints, treatment comparators, target patients' segments;
support key components of patient value strategy through the exploration of new perspectives including digital innovation that can augment 'traditional' clinical data, thereby driving emerging opportunities designed to reduce the time to patient access to new medicines.
Acting as a single point of contact for RWE expertise in the diseases and patient subpopulations targeted , liaising with other RWE Strategy Leads and the wider RWE community to educate and drive the proactive identification and prioritization of RWE needs and opportunities;
Co-creating applicable global RWE Strategy & Tactical Plan;
Ensuring the execution of applicable global RWE studies, plus the delivery, interpretation and communication of findings;
Designing study concepts, and working with the relevant RWE Lead Scientists, Scientists, Methodologists and Analysts to translate these into study protocols;
Promoting the use of RWE in the external environment through collaborations with relevant colleagues in policy and external engagement
