Senior Data Engineer - Full-time, Permanent Opportunity - Data, Cloud, AWS, Python, SQL, Terraform - Hybrid/Remote - Geneva, Switzerland
A large global organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for data engineering, handling cloud services, working with Python and SQL, and ensuring the successful deployment of CI/CD pipelines.
The position is a full-time, permanent role.
You will be required to work on-site in Geneva, with a hybrid remote setup (3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote).
Candidates should be residents of Switzerland and able to commute to Geneva daily from day one.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data pipelines for processing and transforming data.
Work with cloud services, particularly AWS and Terraform, to optimize data systems.
Utilize SQL for data queries, analysis, and extraction.
Work with Python, using libraries such as Pandas and dbt for data handling.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments.
Create data models for analytics and functional modelling to distribute data via REST API.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance data systems and infrastructure.
Ensure high data quality and system performance.
Assist with data visualization using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Work with modern software development processes, including Jira, Git, and CI/CD tools.
Key Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience in Data Engineering.
Proven expertise in SQL.
Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for on-premises data pipelines.
Strong experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
Experience with Python, especially for data processing (e.g., Pandas, dbt).
Solid experience in data modelling for analytics, especially star schema.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Fluency in French (at least C1 Level mandatory) and English (advanced).
