The customer has built a new HQ. The goal was the overall control and commissioning of all IT
services before the employees moved into the new building. At the beginning, a design thinking
workshop was facilitated to create a comprehensive user story. Derived from this, a 100 point plan
was created, which was successively worked through.

External partners and suppliers were managed, as well as internal resources.

The goal was achieved.

The focus is on achieving the operational readiness of a new 24/7 application. This is done under the
evaluation of a hosting provider and negotiation of the required service levels. These include, in
particular, IT security guidelines, ensuring availability under aspects of BCM and the subsequent
rollout throughout Germany. Further activities regarding the transition:

As part of a new corporate orientation, switching from Novell to Microsoft, the project consisted of
setting up a pilot infrastructure for the use of MS Exchange. As part of the pilot, the company's VIPs
were migrated from Novell GroupWise to Microsoft Outlook. Best practices from the manufacturers
Microsoft for communication and VMware as a server virtualization solution served as the basis. At
the same time, a new AD was set up, an echo replication and password synchronization of the eDir
was put into operation using IDM. Finally, KPIs of the manufacturers were handed over to the
customer for commissioning of the solution. During the project, requirements workshops and
analyses uncovered the established workflows in GroupWise, which could largely be mapped
differently through profound Outlook/Exchange know-how, but with the same purpose.

As part of a server replacement equipment, all windows 2003 servers located on site were migrated
to a new Lenovo System-X platform at 17 courts in the state of Schleswig-Holstein using Hyper-V
virtualized (in total about 120 virtual servers). In addition, another System X has been provided to
control the backups with VEEAM. After the migrations, the new systems were put into operation.
