Responsible for the full cycle of curriculum analysis, design, development,
implementation, and evaluation for a portfolio of courses including English,
Languages, Humanities, History, Philosophy, and Religion.
* Designed and led a "State of Writing" project that collected and scored a
random sampling of over 1000 student essays to determine student writing
challenges in order to improve writing curriculum
* Designed and implemented Growth Mindset pilot in English 090, infusing
growth mindset principles into the curriculum, which resulted in improvements
in start rates, attendance, drop rates, and pass rates. The pilot was converted to
the standard curriculum in Spring 2015 (winner of Most Innovative Revised
Course 2015)
* Created and implemented new English Composition course using an interactive
digital textbook
* Chaired the General Studies Program Review committee for English, which
created a comprehensive proposal for improvements to the English curriculum
* Conducted training on Growth Mindset pedagogy for students, faculty, and
academic leadership
* Collaborated with Instructional Materials and Instructional Design departments
to design faculty and staff eBook training, including creating training videos, in
order to facilitate a smooth transition to the new textbook model
* Served on Foundations of Success Course Development Team, helping to
create a comprehensive strategy to support new student success
* Ensured students were achieving academic outcomes that lead to student
success, and lead and managed strategic objectives
* Served as lead for specialized accreditation activity and ensured that regulatory
requirements are met
* Worked with key stakeholders to develop quality curriculum and recommended
course design for assigned disciplines, including, course guides and
instructional materials
* Monitored trends in program enrollment to ensure sustained growth, strong
persistence, and strong outcomes for new and current programs
* Provided oversight for the quarterly review of the School's progress in achieving
student learning assessment outcomes for existing programs
* Completed formative course assessment and program assessment, and
implemented nationally-normed summative assessment where appropriate
* Identified and vetted tools for faculty and student success in the classroom,
including creating an innovative classroom environment with instructional
material integrated with technology
