Settlement officer
On behalf of our client we are looking for a settlement officer to work for an international bank. This is a great opportunity to be part of a multi-cultural team and contribute on a major project.
Requirements:
Resolve exceptions in the straight through processing for all non-standard and complex operations for bonds and money market instruments
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of confirmations, securities settlements and payments
Create, check and maintain bond definitions in trading system
Validate deal and settlement instructions
Investigate and resolve confirmation mismatches, settlement failures and compensation requests together with Front Office, custodians and customers
Skills:
Banking diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of market practice
Minimum of two year's work experience in finance or back or Front Office activities
Good knowledge of securities, bonds, money market instruments
Experience with SWIFT messaging formats desirable
Knowledge of Bloomberg information systems
Good communication skills
Fluent spoken and written English essential
Fluency in French and/or German desirable
Some experience in IT
