Reinsurance - Senior Technical Accountant
On behalf of our client, a leading global reinsurance firm, we are looking for a Senior Technical Accountant. For this contract position (ASAP until 31.12.2015) based in Zurich, Switzerland, our client is looking for an English and German speaking candidate who can start immediately. Responsibilities:
- Identification, validation and processing of technical statements of account for all types of business (Proportional and Non Proportional Treaty business, FAC Business) underwritten by the company
- Processing of EDI messages and related business
- Handling of financial transactions related to statements of account, reconciliation of broker statements, reminder process
- Supporting the monthly bank reconciliation
- Liaise with external and internal clients in resolving data issues
- Supporting the company's quarter close by assuring high levels of data quality on client reported figures, actively participate in close process with MultiGAAP (eg close open worksheets, validate LSF, comment Aged Debts reports, work closely with Finance, handle queries from management, Finance Dublin, external and internal auditors)
- Project Work: eg SICS Upgrades, Globalisation of TA Processes and Guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in a similar role
- Fluent German and English
