For our customer in Zurich we are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer

Scope of work:

  • Analyze infrastructure requirements and produce detailed design documents including cost estimates which pass internal and external review without changes being requested
  • Understand all corporate product offerings and ensure solution designs utilize these products as effectively as possible
  • Work with the provisioning team to ensure infrastructure is built correctly first time
  • Assist senior staff in discovery of requirements and infrastructure utilization required for large projects

    Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows clustering, Microsoft SQL, and other associated enterprise technologies
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Sybase and MSQL database technologies
  • Knowledge of Middleware (eg WebLogic, MQ) useful
  • Symantec VERITAS Storage foundation (VxVM, VxFS, VERITAS Clustering)
  • Understanding of SAN technologies and storage replication
  • Experience with hardware server technologies, particularly HP Proliant
  • Thorough knowledge of virtualization technologies particularly VMWare ESX server and VDI
  • Knowledge of capacity planning and performance measurement techniques
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines is strongly preferred
