for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager (f/m)
Project environment
A global Swiss insurance company is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager. In this role the successful candidate will join the Project Delivery team, and own and be accountable for the end to end management and delivery of IT Infrastructure project(s).
Tasks
The following activities and tasks are awaiting you:
• You will actively manage the project scope and dependencies, and engage with stakeholders, customers, peers and providers in order to maximize value creation and deliver according to quality and time line expectations.
• You ensure and manage timely, appropriate, clear and targeted communication to both internal and external customers as well as within IT.
• You will demonstrate leadership by example for the people working within your project.
• You are responsible to liaise and communicate at different levels of the organization, from senior management to technical staff.
• Behavioral aspects such as client centricity, collaboration and navigate ambiguity are key for success in this role.
Requirements
• Sound Project Management skills (5+ years). Prince2 or PMP certification is advantageous.
• Good understanding of IT Infrastructure services and technologies, such as but not limited to Networks, Telephony, Storage, Server infrastructure.
• Proven experience in end to end delivery of IT Infrastructure projects (3+ years).
• Proven experience in initiating and driving projects, managing stakeholders at different levels and locations. Sound experience in Project Steering boards and facilitating decision making processes.
• Proven experience in sourcing (RFI/RFP) processes, from case definition to supplier selection and contract establishment.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross functional project teams.
• Experience in customer / client facing roles is advantageous.
• Experience in outsourcing environments is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural environment, working daily with multiple remote sites.
• Experience with technical documentation specification, review and updates (English).
• ITIL knowledge.
• Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
