Migration Architect for Hosting Applications (Contract, Zurich)
This architect will lead all technical aspects of complex migration strategies and will ensure planning, execution, supporting artefacts including requirements discovery and analysis.
The architect will be responsible for leading the technical side of migration programmes, creating data collection artefacts, ensuring deliverables, data quality and requirements completeness. Additionally, the architect will be in charge of migration best practices, technical guidelines, application flows, technical architecture and test plans.
Moreover, the architect will liaise with SMEs, will develop transformational options and perform a gap analysis and assessment to determine completeness of server, storage and network equipment information. The architect will be responsible for a technical execution plan in coordination with the PMO.
This is a contract position in Zurich.
The start date is ASAP.
This is a long-term contract, likely to be extended several times. Initial duration will be 6-12 months.
The project language is English.
For this role, we are searching for an experienced Migration Architect with 10+ years' experience with Infrastructure, Data Centre and application migration. Additionally, the candidate will bring 4 to 7 years' experience with Large Data Centre Migrations and Modernisation. Tool knowledge (Platespin, BMC ADDM) is necessary for this role. Besides, experience with multiple platform is needed. The ideal candidate is an excellent negotiator, communicator and problem solver, is able to work with a PMO and must understand enterprise business processes. The architect is able to liaise with application owners, storage, network teams and other IT stakeholders.
