Junior IT Project Manager

Description:
- Challenging role in the "Project Execution Oversight" organization with the responsibility to define, implement and maintain a front-to-back project execution governance within the Private Banking & Wealth Management Products IT organization
- Responsibility to maintain the organization-wide oversight of the project portfolio including stakeholder reporting (project delivery aspects, eg progress, time, cost, quality, scope and risk)
- Opportunity to lead and conduct regular project overview meetings with senior management
- Accountability for overseeing and tracking the execution of project risk mitigation measures as well as for conducting project assessments of projects in flight
- Chance to act as taskforce or interim project manager and to provide coaching and guidance for ongoing projects
- Platform to closely collaborate with the business portfolio management function and senior IT management to define areas for deep-dive analyses
- Possibility to conduct special tasks related to projects or upcoming initiatives
- Opportunity to build and maintain sustainable stakeholder relationships within and outside IT on different seniority levels
Ideal profile:
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related topic; alternatively an equivalent education in one of these areas
- Proven track record of minimum 5 years' experience in project management within a global and Matrix structured environment in the banking/finance sector
- Excellent solution delivery methodology skills and a creative and pragmatic hands-on person with a good understanding of large IT organizations and their characteristics
- Solid problem solving ability and excellent analytical skills as well as outstanding communication and presentation skills at all levels in the organization
- Good understanding of the banking business and of IT organizations as well as the respective governance and the underlying processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple, mission-critical projects and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Fluent English language skills, preference will be given to candidates who are also fluent in German
- Team-player with the ability to build solid relationships characterized by mutual respect, openness and trust
