Storage and Systems Engineer
Our client, a large natural resources company are seeking an experienced Storage and Systems engineer to join there growing IT department.
For this Storage and Systems Engineer you will need experience with:
- Fibre channel including detailed troubleshooting
- Network troubleshooting including (iSCSI/FCOE/VLANs)
- Windows and/or Linux Scripting (Perl/bash/python)
- Performance analysis
- Storage design
- Expert troubleshooting skills in general
Responsibilites include:
- Ensuring the 3rd level incident management queue is always up to date
- Improving automated support processes for proactive alerting including delegation of tasks
- Engineering and design on SAN & NAS platforms
- Working with application developers and vendors when required to ensure quick resolution of issues
- Extensive troubleshooting
Advantage will be given if you have experience with:
- VMware VSphere
- Hitachi VSP
- Cisco Switching
- Symantec Netbackup
