2. Level Supporter - Graduate - Unix - SQL
Our client in the bank industry in Zurich is looking for graduate for the 2. Level Support for a long term contract.
Role overview.
This role is within the Production Services Trading & Sales team based in Switzerland. They own, support and act as the gatekeepers of the Production environment for Trading & Sales applications used globally around the clock by thousands of users ranging from Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers to Traders and External Clients. The application platform is complex and built of a mixture of in-house developed and third party customized systems hosted on a variety of Operating Systems including Solaris, Linux, Windows, and Databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase.
Key Deliverables
- Managing communication with internal clients within the Business and other IT teams
- Own and manage incidents through to resolution
- Act as a leader during major incidents - helping to engage other teams
- Act as a key stakeholder within development projects to ensure quality within software delivery and onboarding of knowledge from Application Development teams
Additional duties and responsibilities:
Acting as part of a team, you are expected to act as a contributor to positive change - driving process improvements and work-reduction to continue to work towards building a world-leading, cost-effective Production Support organization.
Qualifications/competencies:
- Experience with Unix (eg handling files, searching logs, checking processes)
- Experience with SQL querying (Oracle/Microsoft SQL)
- Good communication skills in English
