For our Medical device company based in Solothurn we are looking for a 3rd Line Supporter
Start: 29 September 2014
End: 3 April 2015
Location: Zuchwil, Solothurn
Language: German and English required.
Project/Department Description and responsibilities
. Information Technology Shared Services
. Infrastructure Division
Primary Tasks and responsibilities
. 3rd Line support (troubleshooting, incident management, debugging)
. Server monitoring, administration and operation, mainly Exchange and MS SQL Server
. Design & deploy solutions
. Project related site deployment and integration
. Integrate solutions together with other application teams
. Executing planned maintenance (security patching, operating system and tooling upgrades, )
. Performance monitoring & tuning
. Improvement and extension of operational stability
. Creation and improvements of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and QA documentation
. Disaster recovery design & support activities
Technical profile requirements
* Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
* Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
* Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
* Quick learner, motivated self-starter
* Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
* Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines
* On-call permanency is possible Methodology/Certification requirements
* Strong knowledge Microsoft Server technologies, Exchange, MS SQL and Powershell scripts
* Microsoft MCSE, MCITP or MCSA on Windows Server technologies
* Experience with Linux is a plus
* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science OR Federal Diploma in Information Technology. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred Language proficiencies
* English spoken and written. German spoken and written
