Operational Risk Consultant (Contract, 3m+)
Currently I am recruiting an Operational Risk Consultant for a smaller and very sophisticated risk-consultancy in Zurich. The project length will be 3 months with possible extension. Start-date is ASAP and latest 01st of October.
We are looking for experienced contractors with a track-record of at least 5 year experience in operational risk having worked for well respected banks, financial services and/or insurance.
The candidate will assist with the identification, assessment and management of operational risk and control issues through the monitoring, analysis and reporting of operational events and risk indicators.
Tasks
- Ensure that the bank is properly capturing and following up on all operational events- To include early notification, escalation, investigation and analysis of operational incidents through to conclusion of the actions arising
- Assist with the ongoing programme of risk assessments for particular areas, developing risk profiles in accordance with the operational risk management process
- Assist with the administration and oversight of new products - complete operational risk assessments and support post implementation reviews as directed
- Participate in key operational risk and control projects
- Manage or administer project deliverables as directed
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role with focus on operational risk
- Very good experience in Banking, Financial Services and/or Insurance
- Clean compliance track-record
- Able to work unsupervised within a team framework
- Demonstrate a collaborative style to work towards shared goals
- Able to multi-task, work under pressure and to deadlines
- Providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders
- Good planning, organising and prioritising of workloads
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
