Randstad IT Professionals is actively seeking a IT Sourcing Specialist for our client in Basel. The IT Procurement helps to optimize the client`s external IT spend in the categories Hardware, Software, Telecom and IT Services.
As a Global IT Sourcing Specialist you will:
- Partner with Strategic IT Procurement and help to develop and implement category strategies (either HW, SW, Services or Telecom), that meet the requirements of stakeholders
- Assure IT sourcing events are in line with category sourcing strategies to maximize leverage of spend
- Drive actions that increase process automation, eg by implementing online catalogues where possible
- Achieve set cost savings goals by adhering category management strategies; identify additional projects that drive cost efficiencies
- Partner with IT and fellow Procurement teams to ensure a high level of customer service
Who you are:
You have a Masters' Degree in Computer Science, Business, Law or related discipline and 1-3 years of working experience in Procurement. You have solid experience and a sound background in Procurement, IT categories of advantage. Key success factors are business partnering with IT, assuring adherence to IT Procurement`s strategies, and delivering on savings opportunities.
You bring:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in the technology industry with an in-depth understanding of IT. IT-related contract negotiation experience is a plus
- Highly organized and efficient working style. Self-starter, being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet multiple deadlines in a short time frame for multiple internal clients. Project management experience is a plus
- Proven skills in relationship building and customer focus
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills - fluency in English is a must, German is an asset
- A sense of humor and commitment to professionalism
- Experience in FDA/validated environments, bio-tech or pharmaceutical industry is a plus
