Adecco IT is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of its client, a major global company in the Healthcare sector located in Basel.
Project scope:
Project Management on a global IT infrastructure project to manage migrations of applications from Legacy server technology to new server technology.
Responsibilities:
- Work under direction of Senior Project Manager on a global IT infrastructure project to manage migrations of applications from Legacy server technology to new server technology. Role requires interfacing with Data Center teams, IT project team members and Application Owners. Position will be responsible for providing leadership to migration planning, coordination and implementation/execution activities related to one or more data centers.
- ensure appropriate processes are followed, or as needed, adjust process or work with team to develop resolutions to process questions.
- May lead/provide direction to IT project coordinators.
- Role would be responsible for ensuring appropriate tracking of "in progress", "completed", etc. migrations for project metrics reporting.
Requirements:
- Experience as a project manager working on IT projects, desirable to have infrastructure project implementation experience.
- Desirable to have experience as a Service Manager or working with/supporting a Server Manager in a role that works with application owners to inform and coordinate deployment of changes.
- Business analysis skills/experience is desirable.
- Experience reporting statistics/metrics related to project progress or success.
- Good follow up and coordination skills
- Very strong attention to detail Strong experience with metrics and understanding of what is happening behind the metric, understand how to resolve differences in data sources.
- Able to work in a distributed global team environment effectively
- Experience with project management methodologies and with working on project deliverables Experience working with IT change control processes
- Strong experience with common spreadsheet and presentation tools
