Our Investment Banking client based in Zurich is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to work on a specific project for a 4 month period. You will be working with other project members of the team and alongside the Global database team.
The main responsibility of this person will involve:
- Working closely together with other Distributed Systems teams (eg. Unix) and business streams as required
Requirements:
You, as the ideal candidate will have extensive Oracle experience and have worked as a Senior Oracle DBA for 5 years plus. You will be flexible, open-minded, a team worker, with a communicative manner. You must be self-driven, and be able to work under pressure (deadlines).
Furthermore you will also bring the following knowledge and experience:
- Solid work experience as a senior Oracle specialist, up to and including Oracle version 11G
- Minimum of 5 years overall work with Oracle, 3 of which were in a production support environment
- Minimum 1 years working with a large Financial Organisation
- Absolute confidence in obtaining and providing sound advise for customers and colleagues
- Very strong inter-personal and communication skills and used to be dealing in a demanding client facing role
- Ability to manage, prioritize and solve problems quickly and completely
- Proficiency with Oracle DBA tasks as well as with SQL commands to a high level
- Good knowledge of UNIX commands and utilities for Oracle RAC
- Fluent English is a must, conversational German would be beneficial
