For one of our clients, Swisslinx is looking for a .NET/SQL Developer who will be responsible for developing further proprietary portfolio management platform and data integrations using the Microsoft SQL Server and .NET frameworks.
This is a long term contract role.
This will include reports, data exports/imports, data warehousing tasks, other data related tasks and user
Front End in .NET WinForms.
This position requires excellent communication and technical skills.
The .NET/SQL developer responsibilities will be the following:
- Maintain and enhance the existing data warehouse, imports, exports, and reports
- Develop data exports/imports that meet provided specifications
- Develop new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business needs
- Perform quality checks on data imports to ensure exceptional quality
- Monitor jobs and job queues to ensure they are functioning as expected
- Provide business users the data required for ad-hoc analysis
- Migrate existing reports to SSRS
- Create and maintain documentation for all tasks
- Develop end user WinForms Front End in C#
- Analyse and optimize under-performing queries and code
Technical skills and experience required for this position will include:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Server Side development including (SSIS, SSRS)
- extensive C# development experience
- extensive T-SQL (Transact SQL) development experience
- extensive .NET WinForms development experience
- experience working in agile SDLC (Scrum)
Skills considered a plus for this position:
- Experience with DevExpress XAF Framework
- The ideal candidate should possess some knowledge/understanding of portfolio management business
- The ideal candidate should possess some database administrative experience
