Our client, a major Pharma global player is currently looking for a Business Analyst experienced with Research development for a 8 months contract in Basel.
Job description:
My client's personalized Lab Applications Service Department is looking for a Business Analyst with experience in software development (OOA - C#, ASP.NET)
Responsibilities:
- Understanding the research business environment, the lab processes, data flow, and research data in order to identify the informatics needs
- gather requirements to build and deliver enterprise informatics solutions.
- Design, implementation, testing and maintenance of small applications which are predominately (but not exclusively) designed for Laboratory business.
- The development will be done in collaboration with a team of expert offshore programmers.
- Meeting the customers approved guidelines and team internal standards in terms of development, quality and security
- Documentation of the whole work to ensure ongoing operational support.
- Some experience in programming is required to ensure good quality.
Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in both a life science discipline and computer science.
- Strong knowledge in programming language such as C#, ASP .NET
- Experience in SQL, SharePoint is beneficial
- Contribute to architecture, design and planning effort to support a variety of projects
- Provide support to internal team members and scientists
- Interface with internal IT teams and with key business owners to define project requirements, scope and resources allocations
- A self-motivated, driven individual with proven client handling skills, the ability to work as part of a proactive, global team
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in MIS, Life Sciences, Business; or equivalent experience
Miscellaneous:
START: April/May 2015
END: 8 months Contract
Workload: 100% onsite in Basel
English is compulsory
