For our customer - a large international insurance company located in Zurich - we are looking for a senior
BA/Requirements Engineer w/Insurance-Experience (2677)
Our client seeks a business analyst for the interface workstream of an European project to deliver a policy administration solution to several countries. The contract will have an initial duration of 2-3 months.
This project with an European remit and high visibility collaborates primarily with the corporate customer business units to analyze, design and prepare the requirements for the RfP Process for a this new Policy Administration system.
This work incorporates mainly the requirements engineering of the interfaces based on Use Cases and the existing application landscape.
Your role
As a Requirements Engineer your main responsibilities will involve
- Interface requirements engineering for a Policy Admin system based on use cases
- Performs impact analysis of application interfaces across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
- Defines interface deliverables, develops functional interface specifications, prepares Solution Design document(s)
- Understands customers' objectives, processes, and products in order to make educated recommendations
- Drives day-to-day prioritization of work on capabilities, working with business
- Oversees Business Requirement gathering and analysis
- Acts as liaison between Business and IT
Your Skills and Experience
- Insurance experience (sales, underwriting or other core business function)
- Working experience in projects related to interface requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, IT or other analytical subject
- Excellent analytical and IT skills combined with project management skills
- Conscientious and structured approach to documenting your findings and managing own projects
- Highly motivated, customer-focused personality and conceptually thinking
- Ability to interpret stakeholder requirements and explain complex concepts in easy to understand ways
- Ability to ask good questions and to uncover all of the critical and peripheral facets that would be affected strategically and operationally by introducing new/changed aspects to the global organization
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Enterprise Architecture
- Fluent in English, German would be an asset.
