For a contract position with a major client of ours, Swisslinx is searching for Oracle Specialist with strong Project Management skills for a 12 month contract in Zurich.
The role will involve the following responsibilities:
1. Project is to install new Exadata devices and migrate all existing Oracle databases to these new Exadata devices (Approx 400 Databases and 150 applications)
2. Manage and drive new operational model and process for Exadata along with Operational leads
3. Will be performed with Exadata X4-2, X5-2 and with 11g and 12c software
4. Initial phase is for 2015 and it consists of 30% of DB's and applications for internal clients
5. This is a very strategic project for this client and is highly visible
The successful candidate will have the following skills and expertise:
1. Project management in IT infrastructure discipline
2. Primary technical knowledge/Skills should be Oracle, Exadata or database migrations
3. Ability to drive projects with little management
4. Create detailed project plans using a variety of tools (Project, PPT, Excel etc)
5. Create Steering board presentations and present to senior staff bot management and technical
management
6. Create and manage governance for the project
7. Financial tracking and awareness essential
8. Able to make and explain decisions
9. Prince2/PMP qualification - not essential
This position is within an English speaking team, additional German will be a distinct advantage.
