Job Title: IT - Business Analyst
Job Description: Summary:
Serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with vendor and in-house developed applications. Documents functional requirements, analyzes requirements in the context of software and processes, develops test plans, assists with and documents business process improvement efforts, and works with production issues.
Job Responsibilities:
* Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.
* Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
* Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.
* Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.
Duties and responsibilities include
- Understanding of business needs and problems
- Capturing business needs into requirements
- Elicitation and modelling of business specifications
- Explaining requirements and business needs to Solution Architect, Test Engineer
Needed skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
- Several years of working experience as Business Analyst/Requirements Engineering in the financial services industry
- Pro-active personality with excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to multi-task in complex environment
- Technical background is strongly desired
- CBAP certification or similar would be a plus
- Knowledge in the output management area would be a plus
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
- 8-10 years experience required.
