F2B Client Self Servicing and Automated Execution

We offer:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Assure high quality of work products according to customer requirements in the committed time.
  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using OO Analysis, OO Design with UML and J2EE technologies.

Skills:

Must skills:

  • Fluent written and spoken German (beneficial)
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Expert skills with the programming language JAVA is a must
  • Practical experience in Integration Technologies, especially Web Services
  • Strong Java programming skills (Java 6)
  • Strong understanding of the JEE technologies (JEE 5, EJB)
  • Strong understanding of relational database design
  • Good skills of Eclipse, Subversion
  • Good understanding of Patterns (Design)
  • Strong adherence to standards in the area of Java, JEE, Guidelines, Architecture
  • Strong commitment to test-driven development (JUnit, Continuous Integration)
  • Good hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architectures
  • Experience with SQL (Oracle) and data base design
  • Strong understanding of OO Analysis, OO Design with UML
  • Strong soft skills to handle stakeholders with different background (Requirement engineers, Project leads, Programmers, Offshore resources, Testers etc.) and integrate in the existing Project team.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.

Advantageous skills:

  • Knowledge in Mainframe and the programming language PL/1 is an advantage
  • Experience with banking applications and with the CS application landscape is a plus
  • experience in application development projects following incremental and iterative approaches (RUP, Agile)
  • motivation to contribute software improvements in an interesting environment experience in banking or finance industry
  • Open-minded team-player with the ability to work with people from a different cultural background

Education/Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related subjects
  • 5 or more years' experience in Java/JEE engineering in application development projects
