For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join the team.
Please note we are looking for a pure Developer and not a Developer/DBA.
The experienced Oracle database developer will work on the Trading Limit System aimed to develop new business requirements, improve application performance and support a critical Private Banking credit risk system. Occasional support of weekend releases (no more than quarterly)
The Job:
- Providing analysis, design, and development skills for the Trading Limit System project according to business requirements and project specifications.
- Contribute to implementing functionality in the Batch and Database application tiers.
- Tuning SQL throughout the system.
- Providing production support when necessary.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Knowledge of database theory, modelling and normalization
- Experience of at least 5 years on Oracle application development using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture.
- Knowledge of Oracle data structures, how and when to use them.
- Knowledge of data load, sql*loader, control files.
- Some experience with query tuning techniques.
- Some knowledge of unit or integration test frameworks
- Competent in Unix environment, knowledge of Shell Scripting and common Unix tools.
- Competent in writing basic Java classes for test cases.
- Knowledge on version control tools such as svn
- Conceptual Knowledge on Continuous Integration environment and Team City in particular
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Being eager to keep learning and improving himself.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a dynamic team and adapt style to ensure the project is successful.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment for all stakeholders.
