Project environment

A Swiss Bank in Zurich is looking for a Project Manager with skills in Business Analysis. The successful candidate would work in the project context of an Asset Link Solution, a reporting solution that provides transactions, positions and static data for internal and external customers of the bank. In that context, development and adjustments (change the bank) of four data feeds take place. With these data feeds professional and institutional investors are supplied with position and transaction information to all their executed trades. These data are enriched with additional information e. g. client information, financial instruments data, etc. The application produces data feeds in the form of flat files or, in SWIFT format. The basis for creating the data feeds the transaction and position data with those of all bank products are stored in form of normalized pattern. Support the first and second level support units in the daily business (run the bank).

Tasks

The successful candidate takes over the role of a Project Manager and some tasks in the context of Business Analysis. He/She:

• Manages the Solution Order Book aligned with the Business Solution Manager.
• Builds releases out of the Order Book requirements, plans and manages allocated resources, shapes priorities, coordinates interactions with customers and users and keeps the project team focused.
• Negotiates out contracts with the solution specific vendors and ensures timely deliveries to program managers or business stakeholders.
• Acts as the single point of contact for all agreed solution specific requirements.
• Manages relationship with all project stakeholders (IT Program Manager, Vendors, Business, BSM, Interface partners, etc.).
• Coordinates regularly with the Business Project Leads or IT Program Managers concerning requirements, project plan and reporting.
• Organizes and leads the release team and ensures an efficient project governance – roles and responsibilities.
• Provides the release plan and updates it as needed (deadlines, milestones, delivery, requested and planned resources etc.).
• Ensures all relevant management and product deliveries during all phases.
• Establishes a set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of work products.
• Ensures all necessary sign-offs according to the guidelines and performs all relevant reviews.
• Ensures provision of cost and effort estimations.
• Staffs the release team by requesting resources, e.g. PMO, BA, DEV.
• Prepares information and recommendation for choosing the appropriate sourcing pattern.
• Takes over of further tasks in Business Analysis (e g. specifications, interface documents).

Requirements

• Sound Project Management skills (3-5 years) gained as a project manager in financial industry, preferably in a global banking context.
• Equivalent certification in Prince2, PMP or IMPA C is advantageous.
• Fluent in German and English.
