for an IT Application Architect (f/m)


Project environment

A Swiss Private Bank is looking for an external architect to support the bank’s internal architecture team in several key project initiatives as well as the day-to-day architecture work.


Tasks

• The key initiatives are business driven strategic projects in the front, mid and back office areas with a focus on new capabilities as well as component and solution replacement.
• The day-to-day architecture work addresses small IT and business driven projects as well as the foundation of the overall enterprise architecture comprising the target landscape and the roadmap while aligned with the business and IT strategy and target operating models. This also includes the further development and refinement of the architecture tools.
• The engagement is focusing on the support of the in-house architecture team via pure bench-strength as well as bringing new expertise and ideas while following the industry architecture standards.
• The candidate will be integrated into the internal global (virtual) architecture team consisting of enterprise, solution, infrastructure, security and IT operations architects.


Requirements

• The ideal candidate has enterprise architecture experience in global private banking players with an outstanding understanding and background on the associated banking products & services, the relevant technology and packages.
• Beneficial is the expertise, knowledge and assets in the area of architecture models and methods reflecting a global private banking set-up with MESI, MEMI approaches, appreciation for the legal & compliance aspects of cross boarder and multi regulator set-ups, familiarity with leading private banking platforms (core banking, portfolio management, CRM, tax, etc.).
• Reflection of security and audit aspects is seen as a given in the current financial services industry.
• Furthermore is the expertise in the areas of mobility, Big Data, Rules Engines and Business Process Management Solutions decision relevant.


Soft skills

• Good communication skills. English and German fluent, written and spoken.
• Acting comfortably with the right seniority on the C-level of a private bank and familiarity with large project and program set-ups.
