SunSystems Technical Manager (Geneva, Switzerland)
SunSystems Technical Manager required by a global company based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The main remit for the Contract SunSystems Development Manager position is:
- To develop and improve the SunSystems V4 and SunSystems V5 platforms within a Finance IT function;
- Manage new system requirements and work directly with the Business, Finance and IT to architect new solutions for the platform and applications;
- Monitor and control resources and costs against the budget and manage expectations of all stakeholders;
- Analyse business processes, identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility and recommend new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components;
- Effectively lead and motivate a multi-disciplined team to deliver high quality software solutions against challenging deadlines;
- Able to effectively identify our exposure and risk on projects and make recommendations to senior management on appropriate risk mitigation strategies;
- Use structured Agile and Waterfall software development methods across the full software development life cycle encompassing analysis, architecture, design, development, system and integration testing, UAT and production deployment and support.
Desired experience:
- Strong knowledge of FMS SunSystems V4 and FMS SunSystems V5;
- Understanding of core accountancy and finance processes and functions;
- Worked within a finance or a shared services function;
- Line management of software developers/technical staff;
- Comfortable working with people at all levels in an organisation, up to CFO level;
- Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies.
