For our client, a globally active Swiss firm headquartered in the Romandie, we are looking to staff a Test Automation Engineer
TASKS
• Develop and lead the automation effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing using TFS/MTM
• Execute the tests and analyse results
• Follow the test manager processes
• Create and maintain an automated nightly build verification (“smoke”) test
• Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and used Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed
• Develop documentation to support product development and testing
• Provide estimated for test activities
• Execute projects task and plans that meet time lines and release requirements
• Contribute to the process of product tuning to improve its performance
• Configure test environment, monitor performance tests and identify application bottlenecks
• Monitor, mentor, lead the test automation activities and act as a point of contact for automation tests
MUST HAVES
• 1-7 to 10 years’ experience in software testing and experience in programming using .Net technology
• At least 4 years of experience performing test automation for Winforms.Net distributed application using Coded UI
• At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Test Manager
• Expertise with SQl (ADO.NET)
• Solid experience writing automation scripts and creating automation framework
• Developed and implemented test suites, which include expertise in designing, coordinating and executing functional tests, regression test, load/performance tests, acceptance tests
integration tests and system tests
• Ability to provide accurate effort estimation for test automation activities
• Solid expertise in the development, review, execution, maintenance of test plans, cases, scripts, repositories, practices and procedures
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies
• Experience in using shell scripting (PowerShell, Perl,) in a Microsoft Windows Environment
• Needs a strong (technical) understanding of Windows Operating System
• Experience in testing Application Software integrated with hardware modules (e.g: PLC, VM600 rack, data acquisition cards)
• Experience in testing charts and display
• Experience integrating third part test tools with TFS and MTM
• Experience using MS Office tool suite
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience performing test automation for WPF distributed application using Coded UI
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC)
• Experience with MS SharePoint
• Experience with electronics la equipment (e.g signal generator)
• German language
