For a six month project which is likely to be extended at our banking client in Zurich we are looking for an experienced
Application Developer with C#, C++, .NET, Web (2317)
who is interested to join the STS Lending and Collateral IT development team to work on a number of applications including a securities lending, repo and collateral management platform and a global Prime Finance solution.
Your accountabilities include:
- Provide strong C#, .NET and SQL development skills to the team
- Help develop specifications with business analysts and technical leads to satisfy a wide range of projects and initiatives
- Contribute to setting high standards for code development and implement high quality development processes
- Perform regular code reviews to ensure development standards are met and that high quality is maintained
- Help ensure that the development team is delivering to the agreed plan, monitor issues and escalate in a timely manner in order to avoid unexpected delays
- Collaborate with IT peers globally, in particular Zurich and Wroclaw, Poland
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle including technical design, documentation, software development, unit testing and production implementation
- Support QA team and testers throughout functional and regression testing of changes. Face off to local and global Managed Lending QA team members
To fulfil these tasks you meet the following requirements:
- Strong C# development skills
- Ability to write complex database queries using ANSI or T-SQL
- At least 3 years development experience in business (at least 1 year in C#)
- Strong understanding of OO concepts and design patterns
- Experience of supporting end users preferably within a trading environment
- Project life cycle experience: delivery on at least 2 large scale, highly complex projects
- Strong English language skills
- Test automation experience working knowledge
