We are looking for a Middleware Specialist to be based within the IT Operations of our large Swiss bank.
The responsibilities of the role include taking responsibility for the detailed design, installation, configuration and maintenance of the MQ infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of WebSphere MQ across multiple platforms
- Build development environments and provide support during application development.
- Build production systems and provide support through to go live
- Provide documentation for production support
- Manage small projects and deliver to deadlines
- Be able to hold technical discussions with colleagues around the organisation and provide managerial updates.
You will be working in a lively challenging environment and you should be able to display strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. You will need to be a pro active, motivation, self-starter, who is able to work with minimal guidance, managing issues and problems through to resolution. This is predominantly and English speaking environment so fluent English is a must however any knowledge of German is useful.
