Business Analyst - Securities - For a client, a major global bank, we are currently seeking a professional business analyst with a strong banking background, solid knowledge of US-Withholding processes and securities, single accounts, FX and forward contract transactions processing incl. corporate actions.
Role overview:
- Supports business in its duties through IT support and document it to provide a common understanding between the client who use the application and the IT people who built, test and maintain it now and in the future
- Understand business drivers and what needs to be delivered from a business point of view
- Obtain understanding of and commitment to requirements
- Develop, manage, estimate dimensions and consolidate information on the requirements of the project's customers, products and product components according to the requirements engineering process
- Identify synergies, redundancies and inconsistencies between the requirements and the project's plans, work products, business strategy and the overall context in applicational and technical architecture
Key Deliverables:
- Elicit and elaborate requirements
- Model and Document requirements understandable for clients and subsequence roles within IT
- Ensure that specification of the user's needs is accurate, complete and unambiguous
- Maintain traceability between requirements and between requirements and requests
- Identify impact of changes on the existing requirements
- Provide inputs to a first test strategy for the application
- Provide input to the Project Manager for prioritizing requirements
Mandatory education/experience:
- University degree or similar education preferably in information technology or information management
- BA experience within financial institutions
- Sound Knowledge in US-Withholding processes: QI (Qualified Intermediary) Chapter II and III.
- Good knowledge reporting for US-Persons and US assets
- Solid theoretical understanding and practical experience of use case modelling (UML) in IT projects
- Deep knowledge of securities, single accounts, FX and forward contract transactions processing incl. corporate actions
- Very good German and English!
Beneficial experience:
- Tax, primarily Withholding Tax (Austria), EWT
- Experience in using tools like JIRA, Polarion, Enterprise Architect 9.x
- Background in software development processes/life cycle
- Project management experience
