Core Java Application Developer - JEE, Design Patterns, WebServices, HIbernate, JPA, modelling, SQL
Randstad IT Professionals is actively looking for a Core Java Application Developer for one of our major clients, a global bank headquartered in Zurich.
This project is a Regulatory Clearing Project and is due to be delivered at the end of 2015.
We ideally are looking for applicants with knowledge of JAP, J2EE and core Java.
Experience in Equities, Fixed Income or other OTC products would be advantageous. Candidates should however, have an outstanding knowledge of Front to Back Office
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Good knowledge and experience with JAP Environment
- Very good core Java and Advanced JEE knowhow and knowledge of the I/O, Multithreading and Transaction Management.
- Good Knowledge in Design patterns
- Good knowledge of WebServices, Hibernate or JPA
- Good understanding of the IT domain overall, with special attention for networks and distributed applications
- Good Database, modelling and SQL knowledge, preferable Oracle
- Knowledge of build tools and IDEs and knowledge of control versioning systems
- The working language is English, in an open and multicultural environment
- Financial domain knowledge is not required but seen as an advantage
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree or higher education in Information Technology and/or Business/Economics or equivalent
- Good knowledge of OTC Products and general Business know-how and some years of practical experience
- Knowledge of trading and Back Office systems in international banking environment
- Familiar with iterative development styles and fast turnaround in a tight team
- Excellent command of English language, German is an asset
- Drive for high quality and working with other internationally oriented organizational units to achieve common goal
