Customer is building an IaaS platform for VLDB based on Oracle.
The underlying infrastructure is based on HP x86 platform. Scope of the project is to build a data hosting platform (DHP) for very large databases (VLDB).
Profile description
Senior Oracle expert, with infrastructure background and experience in Disaster Recovery for large Oracle based environments.
The project is already staffed with several profiles within Oracle topics such as server platform, storage, backup, cloning but lacks the specific Disaster Recovery (DR) discipline.
The task of this consultant will be to work out the detailed DR solution including the blueprint based on a given high level DR solution.
Effort 80-100%. (75MDS). Majority onsite, some remote working may be possible.

Tasks
*Write DR solution design including blueprint
*execute DR Pilot and document testing results,
*Write overall DR process description
Skills needed
Broad Oracle skill set/understanding:
VLDB experience, Oracle 11gR2 base build/Linux (RH6), Dataguard, ASM, RAC.
Disaster-recovery methodology and experience related to the above mentioned technologies.
Good technical documentation skills.
Oracle Systems certification expected
