For a major international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a:
Senior Database Developer/Modeler to develop our client's scientific data models and databases
Responsibilities will include:
- Datamodelling (E/R modelling, XML schema design, data-mart, Ontology design ...)
- Data models development for scientific data (Clinical data, Genetic, Genomic, Proteomic )
- Implementation of standard Biological exchange formats (CDISC, Ontology, MIAME )
- Data integration of standard Scientific analytical and visualization tool (R, Matlab, Spotfire )
- Data migration
- Software development (Java, Spring MVC and/or Python)
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience with data modelling and creating data structure for Biological datasets
- Expert at modelling techniques and approaches (E/R modelling, XML schema design, data-mart, Ontology design)
- Good software development skills (Java, Spring MVC and/or Python)
- Significant experience with the following relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
- Knowlegde of Data models for scientific data (Clinical data, Genetic, Genomic, Proteomic )
- Knowlegde of Standard Biological exchange formats (CDISC, Ontology, MIAME )
- Knowlegde of Standard Scientific analytical and visualization tool (R, Matlab, Spotfire )
- Familiarity with agile methodology
- Scientific background, ideally in Life Sciences
- Fluent written and spoken English
This is a contract position with an international client, located in Lausanne, for 3 months in the first instance with a good chance of an extention. Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
