Randstad IT Professionals is actively looking for a Product Manager/Database and DWH for one of our major clients, a global bank headquartered in Zurich.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Client Engagement/Demand Management
- Engages with potential clients and understand their requirements for potential inclusion into roadmaps
- Serves as a product evangelist in creating and syndicating information about the product/service to the App Dev community via TBPs
- Responsible for marketing/training materials including the building of an online presence
Product Roadmap
- Works with vendor(s) to understand their roadmap and schedules incorporation of new releases into clients builds
- Works with other product managers to ensure that they are able to provide underlying infrastructure to support the roadmap.
- Manages product requirements from internal customers (in JIRA) and feeds back requirements for the product to the vendor (where required).
- Involves ensuring that the proper engineering teams fulfil the requirements in future releases to specification and on schedule
Core Product Management
- Work closely with the GOSM to maintain an up to date version of the service description
- Determines & coordinates product pricing and cost transparency charges
- Interfaces with Engineering, Technology Business Partner and Support team to ensure adherence to the product strategy and release plans
- Responsible for managing capacity of the platform/product based upon future demand pipeline and product TCO
- Engages with IT Risk to mitigate and remediate potential risks/audit points
- Responsible for ensuring that we are within the contractual limits of our licenses for the product used
- Accountable for driving the product certification to take the product from engineering build phase through to general availability with regional support organization eg Handover to Operations & Permit to Use process
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Very skilled in project management incl. planning, controlling, financial management
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate a wide range of stakeholders
- Good negotiation skills and ability to convince others
- Fast learner
- Good presentation capabilities
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of DWH Architecture
- Proficiency with Oracle, SQL and Sybase Databases
- Knowledge of DWH technology as Oracle, Informatica tool set
- Experience of implementing complex requirements in a DWH environment with many dependencies
- Understanding of bank applications, processes and interdependencies
- Project Management in a big data and large applications environment
