Solution Architect Business Intelligence
Our client is working on the definition of its target Business Intelligence (BI) Architecture. The solution architect who will perform the following tasks:
- Analyze the business requirements which came out of the BI strategy initiative of the bank
- Review the current BI landscape with input of the client's Subject Matter Experts (SME)
- Elaborate different BI technology stacks which could fit the bank's purpose (eg based on SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Best-of-Breed).
- Work with BJB SME to define evaluation criteria, for the technology stacks
- Conduct workshops with vendors regarding the technology stacks (The client will set-up the workshops)
- Prepare price indication of possible technology stacks (no formal vendor RfP but rather price indications of vendors based on sizing criteria the clien provides)
- Write a Solution Blueprint Document defining the target BI Application Landscape and the integration with the source/target systems
Required experience
- Extensive practical experience with Business Intelligence Solution Architectures
- Experience in the area of Enterprise Data Warehouses and Operational Data Stores
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in BI architectures
- Good understanding of different state of the art BI technologies on the market (eg SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with technologies in the areas of structured and unstructured data, predictive analytics, data visualization
- Technology neutral (ie not being biased towards one single vendor)
- Work experience in the banking area
Advantage
- Experience with data architectures in private banking
- Understanding of IT and information security aspects in the private banking area
Soft skills
- Strong analytical skills.
- Capability to communicate efficiently with both business and IT subject matter experts.
- Capability to analyze the financial impacts on the proposed architecture solutions - eg high level estimate of total cost of ownership etc.
- Fluent in both German and English
