BI/BW Solution Architect (m/f)
About our client
Our client is a global well-known pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Switzerland.
On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is currently looking for a BI/BW Solutions Architect. It is a contract position based in Basel. The role will require up to 10% travelling to Europe`s locations.
This is a great opportunity to join the project that is dedicated to adapt and port a running Big Data internal application into a customer facing SaaS prototype dealing with patient data. Key challenge will be to adapt the application to cope with demanding healthcare data hosting regulation (eg: ASIP constraints of French ministry of health).
Your mission
- Oversee deployment of existing application into another instance to be hosted in some niche-cloud provider's infrastructure.
- Document and drive necessary architecture changes to cope with direct access by customers (labs, hospitals) and regulations compliance.
- Deliver a PoC to demonstrate the capability to extend current application with patient data in compliance with EU regulations.
Your background
- Over 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect; in customer facing Hadoop based Big Data solutions
- Over 5 years' experience in Cloudera BigData Hadoop technologies (Impala, Hive, Oozie, Sqoop)
- Over 8 years' experience in MS SQL Server
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in Java development
- High-level understanding of Tableau Server management
- Security background in Internet facing solutions (penetration testing, Firewalls design, reverse proxys, SAML, VPNs)
- CSV background and experience in working with IT Quality
- Strong leadership skills and proven track record of decision taking and escalations handling
- Fluency in English; German and French considered as a plus
