for a Risk Manager (f/m) Business Continuity Management (BCM)

Project environment
A Global Swiss Insurance Company is looking for an Risk Management Expert with focus on IT to take over a project Business Continuity Management: Resilience Implementation.

Tasks
• Analyse the potential risks that the Asset Management unit would be facing in case of disruption/outage of the financial markets infrastructure and prepare plans to avoid, reduce or transfer any identified risk.
• Perform a complete assessment of business continuity risk including information security and technology risk in selected scenarios of financial markets infrastructure disruption (e.g. banks, exchanges, market data providers, payment systems, online trading platforms etc.).
• Perform interviews with business stakeholders and IT owners in order to understand business continuity risks.
• Identify and assess threats and put plans in place for if things go wrong and decide how to avoid, reduce or transfer any potential risks.
• Monitor and assess business needs against security concerns and recommend necessary changes to enhance business resilience during a potential disruption of financial markets.

Requirements
• Strong and proven track record in developing comprehensive BCM plans.
• Strong experience in business recovery, contingency planning and risk management.
• Very good understanding of financial markets from IT perspective.
• Very good know-how around systems supporting financial markets (trading systems, settlements/payments/reconciliation systems etc.).
• Experience in testing business interruption events and creating communication plans.
• Advanced conceptual understanding of current business continuity planning techniques and technologies.
• Business Continuity Professional Certificates via DRI or BCI an advantage.
• At least 3 years experience as a business analyst in financial industry is required.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills and a good eye for detail.
• Sound organizational skills and self-management evidenced by an ability to take initiative and ownership of assignments, produce effects under tight time constraints.
• Planning and organisation skills.
• Numerical skills and the ability to evaluate costs.
• Ability to understand broad business issues.
• Some travel will be required (up to 20%).
