Roc Search is currently recruiting for a Senior Mainframe Consultant to work for a client of mine in Zurich, Switzerland.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As a Senior Engineer you will be the key contributor w/r to the design and implementation of Mainframe based applications as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.
In addition to performing hands-on design, implementation and 3rd level support tasks you will:
- liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews
- conduct effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
In-depth knowledge of the following:
- z/OS, OS/390, MVS, VM
- Assembler, Rexx, Clist, Cobol
- Sysplex, DB2, CICS, TSO, ISPF, SDSF, RACF, HSM, DFSMS, HCD, HMC, SMP/E, NETVIEW, VTAM, NCP, TCP/IP, RMF, JES2, WLM, USS, OPC/TWS, LE, GRS, OAM, RMM
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)
- Experience with storage and data migrations
- Experience with archiving solutions and resp. product knowledge (such as IBM CMOD) would be a plus
