Pyspark Developer - 6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Glasgow (Hybrid)
Hamilton Barnes is representing a leading bank who are looking to hire multiple Lead Python Engineers.
As a Python Lead Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of an agile team, dedicated to enhancing, constructing, and delivering top-tier technology products. Your focus will be on ensuring the secure, stable, and scalable development of software applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop secure and high-quality production code, while also reviewing and debugging code authored by team members.
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues, thereby enhancing the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Lead communities of practice within Software Engineering, fostering awareness and adoption of new and cutting-edge technologies.
Skills/Experience:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, coupled with advanced applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Proficient in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Familiarity with AWS, including orchestration tools such as Airflow, and practical experience with reporting frameworks.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Glasgow/WFH
- Day Rate: Up to £500 Per Day (Inside IR35)
