Job Title: GIS Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Work Location: Remote/off-site
Clearance: NATO Secret or Equivalent Clearance Essential
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and provide essential support in various GIS-related activities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering certified ESRI training packages, offering technical advice on Core GIS Deployments, and developing custom GIS training packages to meet identified needs.
Duties & Role: The contractor must be qualified to provide relevant courses covering subjects such as Introduction to GIS, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Additionally, expertise in Python Scripting for map automation/geoprocessing workflows is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of certified ESRI training package(s).
- Acting as a GIS training adviser for the JISR/GeoMetOc Branch.
- Providing technical advice on Core GIS Deployments.
- Developing customized GIS training packages to fulfil identified needs.
- Developing, testing, and implementing "state-of-the-art" GIS map production workflows in support of operations and exercises.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems Geospatial.
- Solid understanding of geographic matters: coordinate systems, projections, and datums.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in delivering Certified ESRI training packages.
- Proven experience in the development/tailoring of ESRI ArcGIS commercial training packages for military use cases.

Terms:
- Initial Contract Until December 2024
- Remote working
- Rates of Hourly pay, dependent on experience
