For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a qualified Embedded Tester - Instrument Integration (m/f/d)
Background:

Within the global, cross-functional environment of the Roche Point of Care Diagnostics (POC) organization, the Instrument Integration subchapter is responsible for the successful integration of hardware, software, and consumables to finally perform the System Component Verification of POC instruments.
As an Embedded Tester - Instrument Integration, the candidate will work as an independent tester who engages in testing at the System Component level, and helps to ensure that functionality implemented by software (SW) developers is in line with the stories developed by the Product Owner (PO) and consistent with the technical and use case requirements covered by those stories. The embedded tester works in a software scrum team and attends meetings related to content and scope. The embedded tester acts as an interface to Instrument Integration and Design Verification testers, ensuring that their understanding of implemented requirements is consistent with the intentions of the PO and the work that the developers have done. As an Embedded Tester - Instrument Integration the candidate will support in the cobas® liat Analyzer Projects.
The perfect candidate has at least a Bachelor Degree in the area of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field and at least 3-5 years professional experience as Test Engineer or as Test Analyst for integrated systems consisting of hardware AND software. Additionally experience in manual testing is required. The project language is English, German skills are a plus.
The person needs experience in working in a highly regulated environment.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Define test strategy and test environment, author and execute (manual) test cases on the diagnostic instruments,
    analyze results and create the respective documentation. Issue tracking and testing of bug fixes
    * Conduct manual testing: Side effect testing, Integration testing, Exploratory testing, Acceptance testing, Non-Functional testing
    * Early report issues, analyze issues, retest and close issues in close collaboration with SW development
    * Interact closely with and provide early feedback to software developers and PO and ensure consistency in understanding of requirements between software stakeholders (Requirements Engineers (RE), Instrument & System Development, PO)
    * Act as an interface for knowledge transfer and clarifications to Instrument Integration and hardware Dev. as necessary
    * Support the SCRUM team in ensuring testability and the correct level of detail in stories, and in detecting ambiguity in stories

Must Haves:
  • Min. Bachelor's Degree in the area of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or related field
    * Min. 3-5 years professional experience in Test Engineering / Test Analysis for integrated systems consisting of HW and SW
    * Experience in Manual testing
    * Experience and willingness to work in a highly regulated industry
    * Aware of SCRUM and / or other agile methods ***
    * Experienced with various operating systems (Linux, Windows), databases and communication protocols between instruments and laboratory information systems (LIS) networks is a plus
    * Fluent in English, German is a plus
    * Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills. Solution oriented, autonomous and proactive working style with the ability to work time-boxed
    * Be a dynamic, flexible and solution-oriented person with a "systems thinking" mindset
